Mass. Man Makes False Claims for Broken Tooth
Between 2002 and 2006, a Massachusetts man who broke a tooth on a piece of plastic in a restaurant salad allegedly collected about $36,000 by making repeated claims against restaurants for the same broken tooth. After an investigation by the state attorney general's office, the man has been arraigned on 19 counts of insurance fraud and ten counts of larceny over $250, each of which carries a maximum five-year term.
